Hot Springs Arkansas Attractions

On February 1, 2011, one of our favorite Hot Springs Arkansas attractions reopens for a new year. Garvan Woodland Gardens should be at the top of your “Things to do in Hot Springs” list! This 210 acre wooded peninsula is a world-class botanical garden that is constantly changing throughout the year.
Not only can you enjoy beautiful flowers, plants and trees, but also amazing architecture, educational opportunities, and even musical performances. February is a perfect time to enjoy Japanese camellias, winter flowering bulbs, and early daffodils. As you walk through the gardens, you will notice architectural features such as the Full Moon Bridge, the curving Canopy Bridge, and the Children’s Adventure Garden – one of the newest additions to the Gardens (which is a delight to adults as well as children!). The elegant wood, glass and stone Anthony Chapel is a breathtaking sight that is open to the public when weddings and events are not scheduled.
Garvan Woodland Gardens are located at 550 Arkridge Road in Hot Springs. They are open 7 days a week except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and the entire month of January. Hours from February through mid-November are 9a.m. to 6p.m. Admission prices are $9.00 for adults and $8.00 for 55+. If you are looking for a romantic getaway in Arkansas, you may also want to consider our “Unplug & Unwind” package that includes tickets to The Gardens.
