Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival Marks 21 Years in Hot Springs

Did you know the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival is considered one of the nation’s best “12 Small-Town Documentary Film Festivals”?  Or that the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute is the only one in the US dedicated solely to documentaries?  If you are interested in this genre, be sure to mark your calendar for October 12-21, 2012, and the 21st annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival.

 

The festival will kick off with a popcorn and wine gala at the Historic Malco Theatre in Hot Springs.  Known as one of the first and oldest documentary film festivals in the country, the festival will view 100 films selected from nearly 1000 that were submitted.  It is one of the qualifying film festivals for the Academy Awards.  Tickets are available now and can be purchased online.  Films and a schedule for the festival will be announced soon, so make your bed and breakfast reservations soon because you won’t want to miss a minute of this fabulous event!
