2015 Hot Springs Music Festival is Underway

The 2015 Hot Springs Music Festival begins tonight and runs through June 13.  The festival will celebrate its 20th season with a commissioned work by Sterling Procter.  The world premier of Festival Fanfare will be presented on the Arlington Hotel Terrace at 6:45 p.m.  The opening fanfare performance will be followed by a concert by The Cavell Trio in the Arlington Hotel Ballroom at 7:30 p.m.

World-class mentor musicians will be paired with pre-professional apprentices to play side-by-side in orchestral, chamber, choral and solo performances.  Over 200 international musicians will come together in Hot hotmusicSprings to present over 20 concerts and 250 open rehearsals.  Performance venues range from hotel ballrooms, to churches, to art galleries, and even the Arlington Lawn in Hot Springs National Park.  Some orchestral highlights will be Stravinsky:  Firebird Suite; Ravel: Daphnis and Chloe Suite No. 2; Debussy:  Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun; and Chabrier:  Espana.

Festival Passes are available for $150 and include preferred seating for all concerts, as well as other benefits.  Single tickets are $15 and available on a first-come first-served basis.  Student admission is $5, and all rehearsals are free and open to anyone.  We’d love to have you stay with us when you attend the Hot Springs Music Festival.  Relax and unwind after a full day of beautiful music, and awake to breakfast at Tiffany’s each morning.  Call us at 501-865-6060 or book online.
