Hot Springs:  The Birthplace of Spring Baseball historic baseball trail is now open.  This self-guided tour takes visitors to 26 markers describing Hot Springs role in spring training as well as legends of the game, such as Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner.
At each location, you can follow the cellphone audio tour, or you can scan the QR code with your smartphone to access audio clips as well as photos.  The trail’s website offers links to some of the 250 players associated with Hot Springs, and some “untold stories” of these Major Leaguers.  For those technologically challenged of us, you can also pick up a printed brochure at the downtown visitors center, located at 629 Central Avenue
If you are a baseball fan, your next vacation should include Hot Springs National Park and “The Birthplace of Spring Baseball”!
