Springtime in Hot Springs: Where the Mountains Bloom and the World Slows Down
There is a specific moment in Arkansas when the air loses its winter bite and the surrounding mountains seemingly turn green overnight. For us at Tiffany’s Bed and Breakfast, spring isn't just a season; it’s a total transformation. The spring bulbs are peeking through and the trees are finally starting to leaf out, making this one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit.
If you’re planning a visit to Hot Springs this spring, here is how to trade the winter blues for something a bit more colorful.
Wander Through the National Park
Most people know Hot Springs National Park for its history, but in the spring, it’s all about the trails. With over 26 miles of pathways, you can find a route that fits your mood—whether you want a vigorous hike to a mountain overlook or just want to wander the paths and enjoy the first signs of spring.
After your hike, head to Bathhouse Row. You can still soak in the thermal waters at the Buckstaff or Quapaw, or grab a root beer at the Superior Bathhouse Brewery (it’s the only brewery in a National Park, and they use the spring water to brew their beer!). New to the park is Mystic Ozark in the historic Ozark Bathhouse—it’s an interactive way to see the geothermal magic up close.
A Sea of Tulips at Garvan Woodland Gardens
If you only do one thing this spring, make it a trip to Garvan Woodland Gardens. Situated right on Lake Hamilton, these 210 acres become a springtime masterpiece of tulips, daffodils, and dogwoods. There’s a quietness there that’s hard to find anywhere else, especially inside the glass-walled Anthony Chapel. It’s the perfect spot to just sit for a moment and breathe.
Since this is such a "must-see," we’ve made it easy to visit. Both our "Unplug and Unwind" and "Girl’s Getaway" packages include tickets to the gardens, so you can spend less time planning and more time enjoying the blooms.
Find Your Own "Keepsake"
For a truly unique Arkansas afternoon, take the 45-minute drive from our front door to Crater of Diamonds State Park. It’s the only place in the world where you can play "prospector" and keep whatever you find. We love seeing our guests come back with mud on their boots and a story to tell—and if you’re lucky enough to find a diamond, we’ll even celebrate by giving you a free night on us!
Pro-tip: Ask us about our Dig for a Diamond package. We’ll provide the park admission and all the tools you need to go hunting for "shiny things".
Finding some Peace and Quiet
We know that a day at the National Park is packed with excitement, and after all that exploring, it’s nice to have a soft place to land. We’ve designed our property to be the perfect "reset button" for your trip. You won’t find any noisy crowds here—just 60 acres of Arkansas beauty and the space you need to truly unwind.
Whether you’re heading back from a long hike or a day of shopping downtown, you can grab a couple of Bob’s signature brownies and find a quiet corner of the porch. As the sun goes down, our fire pit is the place to be. There’s something about roasting s'mores under the stars that makes the day feel complete. Spring is short, but the memories of a quiet evening by the fire tend to last a lot longer.
Planning a Spring Break Trip? If your spring visit falls around mid-March, you might be here for one of our favorite local traditions! You can spend the day enjoying the quirky fun of the World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade downtown and then head back here to trade the crowds for the quiet of the trees. Check out our full guide to St. Patrick's Day in Hot Springs to see the lineup of celebrities, concerts, and "Zero K" fun.
When you stay with us, you don't just find a room; you let the peacefulness surround you.
