Thanksgiving at Tiffany’s Bed and Breakfast

As we pause today to be thankful, Bob and I have so much for which to give thanks.  Tiffany’s Bed and Breakfast has brought so many wonderful people and experiences into our lives.  We’ve had family reunions, a wedding, girlfriend getaways, babymoons, and several engagements.  One was a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” style engagement, another we can’t tell you about – but trust us – it was most memorable!  Friends who’ve been guests, guests who’ve become friends, and it’s amazing how many family members come to visit now that we own a B and B!

We’re thankful for our beautiful home and land where we and our guests have seen hummingbirds, deer, wild turkeys, woodpeckers, owls, whippoorwills, and even a glimpse of black bear.  We are blessed with creeks which attract all this wildlife, and trails that meander through the woods.  ALL Bob’s trees keep us shaded in the summer, and are a colorful sight to see in the fall.  Our guests have taken guided tours with Bob and Mac, and many have ventured out on their own.  The rock hounds love visiting the remains of the Point Cedar Mine, and have made several interesting discoveries!

We are also appreciative of Hot Springs and all the wonderful things guests can do in our area.  From Bathhouse Row, to Garvan Woodland Gardens, to Maxwell Blade’s magic, to Via Roma Italian Restaurant, to Larkmartin Soaps – they all keep our area vibrant and interesting!  Then of course, there is Hot Springs National Park, and Ouachita and DeGray Lake State Parks who always have some type of interesting programs scheduled for our guests (and ourselves).

The best part of owning a bed and breakfast is listening to the wonderful stories being told around the breakfast table where guests may meet as strangers, but walk away as friends.  We don’t get to travel as much now, but it’s always a joy to “travel vicariously” through our guests!  One of my favorite bible verses is Hebrews 13:  “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.”  We have so enjoyed the past five years and look forward to entertaining angels for many more to come!
