With its beautiful national and state parks, gardens, and outdoor activities, Hot Springs is the perfect destination for a spring getaway. The spring bulbs have begun to bloom, and the trees and bushes are budding out, making this one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit. Here are some tips to help you plan your perfect escape:
Hot Springs National Park
Hot Springs National Park is a unique place to visit, as it is home to the natural hot springs that have been drawing visitors since the early 19th century. With its natural beauty, outdoor activities and therapeutic baths, Hot Springs National Park offers something for everyone who visits.
The bathhouses in Hot Springs National Park are a unique feature of the park. The bathhouses were built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to accommodate visitors looking to experience the healing effects of the thermal springs. Today, you can still enjoy soaking in the thermal waters in the Buckstaff and Quapaw Bathhouses, drinking beer and root beer brewed with thermal water in the Superior Bathhouse Brewery, and at the Fordyce Bathhouse, visitors can explore the historic building, check out the interactive exhibits, and take a guided tour.
Hot Springs National Park is full of gorgeous scenery and a wide array of flora and fauna. There are over 26 miles of trails winding through the park giving you access to some breathtaking views. Whether you are an avid hiker or just looking for a peaceful stroll, there is a trail for you in Hot Springs National Park!
Garvan Woodland Gardens
Garvan Woodland Gardens is a 210-acre botanical garden located on the banks of Lake Hamilton. Among the many attractions are an array of native plants such as azaleas, magnolias, and dogwoods; spring flowers such as daffodils and tulips; and the awe-inspiring Anthony Chapel. With its stunning views over Lake Hamilton, tranquil atmosphere, and plethora of natural wonders to discover, Garvan Woodland Gardens offers visitors a chance to escape from their everyday lives for a few hours and relax in nature’s beauty.
Crater of Diamonds State Park
Crater of Diamonds State Park is an amazing experience that you won’t soon forget. It is the only diamond–bearing site in the world where the public can search for diamonds and keep what they find. The park is situated in a 37.5–acre plowed field just 45 miles from Tiffany’s B&B. Visitors to the park can search for diamonds, minerals, and other gemstones, and the park staff provides identification and registration of the diamonds. Additionally, the park offers educational programs about the geology of diamonds and the history of diamond mining in the region. For those looking for a unique experience, Crater of Diamonds State Park is the perfect destination. And don’t forget our Dig for a Diamond package that includes admission for 2 to the park, as well as all the tools needed to dig for that special keepsake!
